Chicken Makhani

This is a lovely creamy curry, suitable for young children to enjoy.  It is full of flavour but not hot spice.  It is very easy to make as well, an ideal introduction to Indian cooking.  One for the whole family to enjoy!

Chicken pieces (to serve 4)
250ml Oatly Cream
2tsp Cumin powder
1tsp garam masala/mild curry powder-adjust to taste
1tsp chilli powder
1 clove garlic - crushed (optional)
4tbsp lemon juice
350ml pasatta
50g suitable margarine
1) Mix together 150ml oatly cream, cumin powder, garam masala, chilli powder, garlic and lemon juice and add raw chicken to marinate for a minimum of three hours (preferably overnight).
2) Fry the chicken for 5 minutes.
3) Add pasatta, suitable margarine, the rest of the oatly cream and the remaining marinate sauce.
4) Simmer for 20 minutes.
5) Serve with rice or naan bread.
