Meatballs with Tomato Sauce

This is a really yummy dish that both my children really enjoy.  We usually serve this with pasta.  You might want to add some crusty/garlic bread as well.
350g of lean minced beef
1 egg
1tsp dried oregano
3tbsp breadcrumbs
black pepper
1-2tbsp olive oil

For tomato sauce:
1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion
1 tin chopped tomatoes
1tsp tomato puree
1 tsp caster sugar
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Black pepper
1) Combine all the meatball ingredients (except olive oil) in a mixing bowl - use your hands to mix together.  Roll approx 30 mini meatballs from the mixture, laying them out on an oiled baking tray.

2) Make the tomato sauce by heating the oil in a non-stick frying pan and fry the onion for 5 minutes.

3) Add the rest of the ingredients, stir well, simmer covered for 20 minutes.

4) Take the lid off and simmer for another 10 mins or so.  Then puree the sauce for a smooth consistency.

5) Pour the tomato sauce over the meatballs and cook for 20-30 minutes at 180 degrees.
