Pasta Splodge

This is a dish we have created ourselves and we find it is very versatile.  It is named pasta splodge as it does look like a bit of splodge on your plate!  You can substitute pasta or rice and sausages or bacon depending what you fancy.
Ingredients
Oil
1 large onion (chopped)
4 slices bacon (cut into pieces) 
or 8 pork sausages (chopped)
1 pepper (any colour)
A handful of mushrooms
1 tin chopped tomatoes
1 tbs tomato puree
2 tsp mixed herbs
2 tbs lemon juice - to taste
Preparation
Fry the onion and bacon/sausages for 5 minutes.
Then add the other ingredients and cook for 20 minutes, making sure that the sausage is properly cooked.
Then add to your cooked pasta or rice.
