Shepherd's Pie

Picture to follow A potato-topped mince beef pie.  Although according to my husband this should actually be called Cottage Pie unless you use minced lamb - I'll leave that up to you!  Anyway, it's really wholesome, particularly on a cold day.
Ingredients
500g minced beef
1 onion (chopped)
1 tin chopped tomatoes
1 tbs tomato puree
1 tsp mixed herbs
100g Peas
Knob suitable margarine
Pepper
2 tbs of oil
4 large potatoes (or similar), peeled and cut up
Preparation
Heat the oil in a large frying pan, add the onion and fry for 5 minutes.
Add the mince and cook for 10 more minutes and then add all of the other ingredients (except potatoes) and simmer for 15 minutes.
While this is simmering cook the potatoes - for 20 minutes, then once cooked mash them with some suitable margarine.
Put the mince mixture into an ovenproof dish, cover with mash and put under the grill until the potato browns.
