Star Wars Stew

This is a yummy easy to make stew, however it does take a long time to cook, see below for a faster variation on the recipe.

I'm sorry I have no idea why it's called star wars stew - it's a recipe my husband's family always used to make and it's delicious!

Picture shows alternative (faster) variation!

8 Medium sausages - cut into pieces
1 Onion
8 Rashes bacon
1 tin baked beans
1 tin chopped tomatoes
1 small tin sweetcorn
2 large potatoes
Oil - for cooking

1 packet of plain crisps crushed

1) Heat the oil in a pan and fry sausages, bacon and onion.
2) Place in a large casserole dish and add beans, sweetcorn and tomatoes.  Top with thin slices of potato.
3) Cover with a lid and bake at 150 degrees for 2.5 hours.
4) Remove lid and turn up heat to 190 degrees, cook for a further 30 minutes at this heat to lightly brown potatoes.
5) Top with crushed crisps and serve.
