Ingredients 2 tablespoons active dry yeast 1 cup warm water 1/3 cup vegetable oil 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 eggs 1 tsp salt Up to 500g strong white bread flour | Preparation 1) In a mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water. 2) Add oil and sugar and leave for 5 minutes. 3) Add the egg and salt. 4) Then add the flour, while stirring the mixture until it knits together to form a soft dough. 5) Turn out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 3-5 minutes. 6) Divide into 12 pieces and shape each into a ball. 7) Place balls onto greased baking sheets, ensure plenty of space around each. 8) Cover with a clean tea towel and allow to rise for 30 minutes. 9) Bake at 220 degrees for 8 - 12 minutes (until golden brown). 10) Remove from pans to wire rack to cool. |
